...but buildings clad in Texas Quarries limestone are the most eloquent.
Since 1929, the unsurpassed warmth of Texas Quarries limestone has graced hundreds of thousands of architectural projects here and abroad. Applications range from fireplace surrounds or handcarved columns to full building exteriors.
A Complete Chain of Care
Texas Quarries has always been fully integrated: We own the quarries that provide our limestone and the facility where it is fabricated. And every hand that touches your job belongs to a Texas Quarries associate. These include:
- in-house draftsmen and estimators, who work to achieve the best possible outcome for your building;
- quarry operators, who unearth the basic materials with unparalleled skill and safety;
- expert craftsmen, who finish slabs to the close tolerances you demand; and
- skilled hand carvers, many of them artists in their own right, who execute details that no machine can match.
Our “one team” approach ensures that the blocks, slabs, and dimensional cut stone are produced to your exact specifications and schedule. We understand you’re selecting our limestone not just for today, but for generations to come.
Almost 90 Years and Just Getting Started
Even after almost 90 years of operation, the highest-quality limestone in our history is now emerging from our Liberty Hill quarry: source of the incomparable Cordova Cream and Cordova Shell. Lueders, Texas, near Abilene, is our source for Lueders Buff, Lueders Gray, and Lueders Antique limestone. The Lueders quarries also produce the distinctive Lueders Roughback limestone: a specialty product revealed in the quarrying process, available in limited quantities.
And even though stone is the world’s oldest permanent building material, we continually develop new applications for this natural product. Your Texas Quarries representative will keep you informed of our latest materials, finishes, applications, and techniques.
